and today I'm going to show you how Indonesian cook like British, I mean a British kind of traditional baked! Its very easy to make and you only need one main ingredients to make scones and the rest will follow in below.
WHAT YOU NEED?
- 250 gram of RAISING-Flour
- 1 Tbs Plain Flour for baking pan
- 1 piece of Eggs
- 80 gram Butter
- 100 ml of Milk
- 1 Tbs salt
- 2 tbs sugar

HOW TO COOK ........
Preparations Times : 20 Minutes
Cooking Times : 15 Minutes
S C O N E
First,
Prepare all ingredients from Raising Flour, Eggs, Butter and Milk. Additional seasoning are salt and sugar liquid. You need some equipment like medium and large bowl for dough.
Tips,
while you mix flour and butter together, do not squeeze tightly, just do it softly otherwise the dough will expands in the oven and hardener dough.
Second,
250 grams raising flour mix together with 80 gram butter, mix it together with your hands or you can wearing cooking gloves (if you have). Next step you need to stir it well, 5 minutes after put 100 ml of milk, 1 tbs of salt (if you like) and vanilla extract (if you like) or if you not fans of vanilla, just add one piece of eggs in side the dough.
You will amazed and happy after the scones dough expands and the top colour changed brownish. YEAY!
Third,
Turn on oven to 220c,,,,
while waiting your oven, scones dough ready to make, noted : YOU NEED SCONE CUTTER TO MAKE THE SHAPE! Scones cutter have different shape, you can choose the shape that you want, the shape start from 4.5 cm, 6.5 cm until 7.5 cm. I got one in one of the supermarket in Australia, or if you can get it too in traditional market or any kind of shop for baking. its pretty cheap like $3 in one package.
FOR GARNISH,
5 minutes before scones ready, mixer thick cream for 2-3 minutes until it thicken.
Fourth,
Oven is ready!
Nest step is put scones in the baking pates and put inside the oven
for 220c in 15 minutes than scones ready to serves!
I LOVE TO EAT SCONES WITH THICK CREAM AND STRAWBERRY JAM!
EVEN PERFECT WITH HOT CAPPUCHINO!

When French has Croissant, English has Scones! This traditional foods was famous around the world, and the most important is easy to make it, you just need 15 minutes and spend $10-15 to buy all ingredients! This food perfect pairing with English tea or Coffee. In a baker shop or restaurant, normally eat as dessert or small bites during coffee times before lunch or dinner. In Australia, where I live now, lots of Scone in coffee shop, but its not fresh and the taste better I make it by myself rather than buy it outside! Some people like to mix it with dried fruits or raisins, but for me CLASSIC SCONES which is plain and mix with strawberry jam and cream. Back again, all depend with your taste!.
