SAMBAL SWEET CHILLI SALMON FILLET


Welcome to the First OCTOBER 2019. Time flies fast than spring is back in Australia. I call called this day of enjoyment, full of fun! This month is perfect month to enjoy JACARANDA.  

Spring in Australia start from September to beginning of November. During those times, many outdoor events and flowers festivals across Australia, one of them is Floriade in Canberra. Thousand of tulips that visitors could enjoy, besides that people spoiled with some performance, dancing, culinary, cafe and many more. 

To much go around and eating outside and I MISS BACK TO COOK ON MY KITCHEN.....

I was also thinking to cook something from the sea, as I ate a lot of beef and chicken during the festival. So I decided to cook Salmon Fillet.

I choose Tasmanian Salmon. Tasmanian Salmon famous with taste, texture and they live in Atlantic Ocean. The most interesting part that I like from them are the skin so beautiful. Also, when I used to live in Indonesia, never eat Tasmanian Salmon, so why not have first try and cook from my kitchen. 

HOW TO FIND THEM
You can find them in supermarket alike Coles and Woolworths. The cost for almost 500g is $13. 
BEAUTIFUL TASMANIAN SALMON FROM ATLANTIC OCEAN
Preparation times: 10 minutes
Cooking times: 15 minutes
Total times: 25 minutes

MAIN INGREDIENTS
  • 490g Tasmanian Salmon
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS
SEASONING SALMON 
INGREDIENTS MASSHED POTATOES
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup full cream milk
SEASONING ASPARAGUS
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil  

HOW TO MARINATED THEM
To marinated the Salmon is very easy. Take off them from packaging and add salt, black pepper. Massage them evenly until ingredients spread nicely on Salmon meat. Next, pour olive oil at the top of Salmon and smooth it out. 

HOW TO COOK THEM 
Heat up gas or stove for medium high heat for 5 minutes. When the pan warmer, pour olive oil and butter until it mixed together. Next, you need to put Salmon to the pan for about 5 minutes than another 5 minutes.
AFTER 6 MINUTES
Turn over the Salmon and you will see the colour from the meat changed to browny. Fell free to put more butter and olive oil depend on your taste.

Next, I add Asparagus together with the Salmon for 5 minutes.

Besides Asparagus, feel free to change them with any kind of vegetables like tomatoes or red onion.

HOW TO SERVE THEM
1 Served them in separated plates. One plate for the Salmon only and another plate for Salmon with Chilli sauce.

HOW TO MAKE MASSED POTATO
Boiled potatoes for about 20 minutes. Crushed them with round potato mashed until become paste. After that add salt, black pepper,  olive oil and butter evenly.
