CHICKEN RICE VERMICELLI



Rice Vermicelli with Chicken is traditional food from China. This kind of noodle easy to find in Southeast and East Asia. In my hometown Indonesia, my mum sometimes cooked for lunch or special celebration like Birthday party. 

Basically, you can make it in Vegetarian version or mix it with chicken, beef, seafood even just with Eggs. Whatever ingredients is, the most important you need to know the right way to cook it. Also seasoning ingredients also important to create tasty flavour on Rice Vermicelli. 
     
You just need to cook in 20 minutes and 5 minutes preparation. So total time is 25 minutes.

MAIN INGREDIENTS
  • 500g rice vermicelli
  • 250g chicken breast
  • 2 pieces eggs

I LOVE VEGETABLES ON FOODS
  • 5 sheets fresh organic spinach
  • 100g carrots
  • 50g red onion

SEASONING INGREDIENTS
  • 5 clover fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sweet sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 5 tablespoon Vegetable oil 

 

             
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Put rice vermicelli in normal water while you prepare all equipment needed and ingredients to make rice vermicelli.
  2. Cut carrot long and thin or up to your taste. 
  3. Chop garlic, onion, peppers and spinach.
  4. Turn on stove to medium heat and add carrot after the water boiling. Cook them for about 5 minutes.
  5. Next, turn on stove and heat pan until it warm than fry garlic, for 3 minutes.
  6. Following by onion and fry them for 2 minutes.
  7. Chicken breast and eggs. Cook for about 7 minutes.
  8. Add rice vermicelli for about 8 minutes until all mix well.
  9. Add carrot and vegetables. Cook them until soft and tender.
  10. Than add seasoning sauce and mix them evenly. 

Rice Vermicelli even better when you mix them with chilli sauce. I make red onion SAMBAL on the side.
